The Walking Dead season 9 ended on an eerie cliffhanger that suggested there are further survivors of the zombie apocalypse, but the survivors in Alexandria are too busy recuperating from their clashes with the Whisperers, led by the psychopathic Alpha ( Samantha Morton ).
But with the comic series behind The Walking Dead coming to a close, we can't help but get more excited to see where the television series goes next in its tenth season.

It is unknown if Lauren Cohan will return as Maggie Greene for season 10.
Andrew Lincoln is not returning to the main series as Rick Grimes but will be appearing in his own spin-off movies.

The Walking Dead season 10 plot
It has been revealed that there will be a time-jump for the series from the end of season 9, while the series begins to tackle more original material and diverge away from the comic series.
The Whisperers will continue to play an important role in the series, with the dynamic between psychopathic leader Alpha and her minion Beta to be explored further.
A central mystery to be tackled is the cliffhanger ending that had a faint voice come through on a radio transmission asking if anyone was out there. Are there even more survivors and, if so, who are they?
Finally, expect the series to deliver an emotional exit for warrior Michonne as she departs the show.
