The Waifs have returned to their home soil of Western Australia, and this summer Vikki Thorn, Donna Simpson and Josh Cunningham will perform songs from their seventh album Beautiful You.

While living in the US, Thorn spoke about her passion for her home. “The longer I am away from Australia, the more connected I feel to Australia and I keep writing songs about that,” she said.

The band, who formed in Albany over two decades ago, spent years touring nationally and internationally (including supporting Bob Dylan on his 2003 Australian and North American tour). They have had a number of successful singles, including London Still, Bridal Train and Sun Dirt Water, and will be joined in Perth by local alternate country artists Davey Craddock and The Spectacles.
