The Voice UK coaches have come under fire for snubbing a singer who blew viewers at home away with her Blind Audition.
The first round of the new series continued with more hopefuls stepping into the spotlight to perform for judges Will.I.Am, Olly Murs, Tom Jones and Anne Marie.
And one of them was 25-year-old Laura Sidney who bid to land a spot on one of their teams with a rendition of With One Look from Sunset Boulevard.
In her VT, Laura said that she grew up wishing she could sing "like a Disney princess" and admitted feeling "absolutely terrified" before walking into the studio for what she called "the most important performance" of her life so far.
But while the Pontypool singer made a fine impression on people watching at home, she failed to even get one turn from The Voice coaches.
As a devastated Laura walked away saying she gave it her all, music legend Sir Tom confessed he "was in two minds," on whether to turn for her, adding that he "wouldn't really know what to do" with her as a mentor.
Will.I.Am told him: "Having turned for a musical theatre singer in the past; it's hard to switch lane," while Anne-Marie remarked: "I'm sure that was amazing to watch."
Some viewers were raging at the judges for not giving Laura the crucial turns her performance deserved.
Twitter was quickly awash with reactions, with one viewer fuming: "Disgusted. Switched off and will never ever watch again," and a second tweeting: "Turning off. She was robbed."
Another urged The Voice to find a coach that would fully appreciate musical theatre talent, posting: "I LOVE The Voice but So many amazing theatrical type voices get lost on the show. Please consider a Coach that will appreciate this amazing talent in their team fir future series.."
