The Voice UK: Darci Wilders wows in battle round with Backstreet Boys hit

Northern Ireland star Darci Wilders wowed judges on The Voice last night as she took part in the third battle round of the competition.

The Co Tyrone teenager took on Dublin busker twins Katie and Aoife Lynch in a tough challenge which left mentor Meghan Trainor with a tough choice to make.

But it was Darci who Meghan took through with her to the Knockouts round of the competition after the performance.

Telling of her delight after reaching the next stage, the 18-year-old from Strabane said: "I never in a million years thought I was getting through, this is the best day of my life."

Taking to Twitter after the show, judge Meghan paid tribute to the Irish twins for their performance and said she was looking forward to seeing what Darci does at the next stage.

She tweeted: " @TwinsKatieAoife , thank you SO much for being on #TeamTrainor it breaks my heart seeing people go home but I’m so proud of what you girls have brought to the team and the show- @darciw11 I can't wait to see what you do next! I'll see you at The Knockouts!"

The Voice UK continues on ITV next Saturday at 8.30pm.
