The Voice UK 2019: Three unmissable blind auditions from episode six

The Voice is back for another round of blind auditions and the competition is heating up with places filling up quickly.

Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am kicked off episode six with seven of their ten team places filled, whilst Olly Murs and Jennifer Hudson both revealed they have accrued eight contestants over the course of the show.

This week showcased another round of talented singers hoping to secure themselves a spot on the show.

Here are the stand-out performances from episode six.

Nyema Kalfo: Kalfo wowed with her strong vocal (ITV)

Nyema Kalfo

Call-centre worker Nyema hoped to wow the coaches enough to trade her telephone for a microphone.

The 22-year-old Winchester resident had the audience on their feet with her performance of Banx & Ranx and Ella Eyre’s Answerphone.

Nyema impressed with her bold performance and effortless vocal, with Sir Tom praising her on making the song her own.

Nyema proved she has what it takes as she landed a place on Team Will.

Gisela Green

Gisela Green: Green used her experience with controlling breathing to help her through (ITV)

Gisela battled with nerves before stepping on the stage in front of the coaches but proved her experience as a midwife helped her to stay calm.

Effortlessly powering through her rendition of Daniel Caesar’s Best part, Gisela won the hearts of three coaches, will.i.am. Murs and Hudson.

The 27-year-old was praised for her “angelic” vocal by will.i.am but in the end found her place on Team JHud.

Georgia Bray

Georgia Bray: Bray fought for her place in the competition (ITV)

Working in the family business is far from Georgia’s passion and she told how she dreams of attaining ultimate stardom as a pop star.

Her stripped back rendition of Katy Perry’s Firework showcased her raspy and diverse vocal.

The performance won the heart of Murs, and Georgia a place in the competition.

The Voice is on ITV, Saturday at 8pm
