The Voice's Brooke Scullion: 'I'm going to give it my all for the final'

Northern Irish singing sensation Brooke Scullion has said that she feels "amazing" having gotten through to the final of The Voice.

The Derry star progressed to the final after beating off tough competition on Saturday night, as the show returned to our screens after seven months of delay due to Coronavirus.

Brooke, who is mentored on the show by Meghan Trainor, won her audience over by performing Miley Cyrus' 'Nothing Breaks Like A Heart'.

She said she's thankful to be given the opportunity to progress to the final of the show.

"I feel like I've just been given another chance to perform," she told us. "It's been so hard for musicians who aren't singing at the minute, and the best thing I could've hoped for was for one more chance to get on stage, because you never know when you're going to be on it again.

"And it's obviously amazing to get through. I feel as though someone's looking over me and leading me in the right direction. I had eight months to live with that song and to finally get to sing it on stage, it changes the game and it made me fall in love with music again."

Having released her debut single over lockdown, Brooke says that she's been working on her talents during the time away from The Voice.

"I didn't let myself get nervous," she says. "Being away from the show that long, it felt like when I was coming back, I was starting something new and exciting.

"I worked on my craft during lockdown and I'm proud of what I did, and now I'm proud of how far I've come.

"The audience obviously wasn't there but there were screens in the back and you could see people watching and they were giving a great response."

Now, as Brooke Scullion gets set for a finale showdown on Saturday November 14, she says that fans can expect her to give it her all, one last time.

"The audience can look forward to me absolutely giving it my all and doing the best performances of my life.

"I have three more performances on this show before the winner is announced - and I'm going to go out there and give it my best shot."

You can watch Brooke's performance on ITV's The Voice, on Saturday November 14.
