The Voice Kids viewers cried that it was an outrage on Saturday's episode when none of the four coaches turned around for superstar Lachlan.
Pixie Lott, Paloma Faith, Danny Jones and will.i.am were full of praise for the cute eight-year-old, but failed to turn around while he performed to signal they wanted to coach him into the next stages of the competition.
Lachlan sang a rendition of Hall & Oates' 1981 hit You Make My Dreams and looked like he was having a wonderful time dancing on stage.
His mother Kelly said: "Lachlan is the most incredible character, full of life."
I like to sing because it makes me feel really happy, I just really like to do it as a person," said Lachlan.
But sadly at it was so late in the audition process and the competition is tight, none of the four coaches turned around, a horrendous moment for any youngster auditioning.
Paloma Faith told him: "I think that it was fun, everybody really enjoyed it, you're only eight so you've got loads and loads of time to do more, I thought that was brilliant and I loved your energy."
"You're like a little man, you don't seem like you just turned eight, you seem like you've been touring for eight years!" added Will, as Lachlan proudly bowed and the audience cheered.
One viewer complained: "I thought Lachlan did fab for an eight year old. Tricky song needing precise timing and breath control."
"Lachlan should have got a turn! Come on One of my all time favs. Well done Lachlan," added another.
"Not turning for little Lachlan is outrageous," declared a third, while a fourth pleaded: "But Lachlan was so cute!"
Another raged: "Absolute blasphemy they didn’t turn for Lachlan but did for someone absolutely s***e earlier".
