The Voice Kids final thrown into chaos over technical fault before 12-year-old's performance

The Voice Kids was thrown into chaos tonight just minutes into the live final tonight.

12-year-old Gracie Jayne was about to perform on stage when a technical fault disrupted her performance before it began.

The pre-teen was the first up on stage tonight as she sat on a box on stage ready to sing.

However no music began playing and host Emma Willis was seen walking up the steps onto the stage.

The camera then focused on her as she awkwardly told viewers: "Hi, so during live shows was have technical difficulties and that is what is happening right now.

"I think Gracie Jayne couldn't hear the music so, when the band are ready, we're going to get going.

"Here we go, it's Gracie Jayne!"

Despite the hitch, Gracie stormed her rendition of Nina Simone's 1965 classic Feeling Good.

Afterwards, Emma ran on stage to hug Gracie and asked whether she was ok.

"I'm fine, absolutely amazing," Gracie replied grinning.

Emma gushed: "You are an absolute professional! Isn't she? A false start, that's the first time that's ever happened to me! I was like, 'What do I do?!'" Emma exclaimed.

She added: "And you handled that amazingly, so well done."

Coach Danny Jones was similarly in awe, saying: "What a way to kick off the final of the Voice Kids! You handled that so amazingly well! I mean, probably better than I would."
