The Voice gets BBC in a spin

As the BBC attempts to breathe life into the second series of The X Factor clone The Voice, judges have received a strict set of rules. The Sun reports that top of the list is that turning on their swivel chairs – one of the key props used to differentiate the show from Simon Cowell's show – is never to be referred to as "spinning". Viewers may call it that, but judges must only ever say that the chair "turns". They only swivel 180 degrees, don't you know. Judges are also being encouraged to "jump out of their non-spinning chairs as much as possible" to interact with their acts. "Reality" TV at its finest.
