The Voice fans confused by Will.i.am's reaction after winner announced

Viewers tuned in to see who was crowned the winner of The Voice UK 2021 on Saturday night.

The series finale, hosted by Emma Willis saw Craig Eddie crowned this year's winner.

The Scottish singer pipped fellow contender Grace Holden to the title after James Okulaja and Hannah Williams were both eliminated earlier in the episode.

The four finalists were chosen by the public after each coach - Will.I.Am, Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and Tom Jones - picked two people each to save in the semi-final.

And it was Anne-Marie, 29, who emerged victorious during her first series, taking Olly's unbeaten run.

But those watching at home were a little confused by Will's reaction after the news was announced.

Once host Emma had spoken to champion Craig and runner-up, Grace, Will.i.am picked up his mobile phone, the Express reports, seemingly unaware the camera was still on him.

And some viewers were not impressed.

“Sorry but how rude was will I am on the voice going on his phone like that #TheVoiceUK," tweeted one.

Another complained: "Some lads dream has just been made and he’s buzzing just winning #TheVoiceUK and Will.I.am is just sitting on his phone playing candy crush."

"Why is @iamwill sat on his phone?" a third added.

Another joked: "Will on his phone ordering an Uber #TheVoiceUK."

However, fans of the American music star will know that Will does this throughout each series as he likes to document what's happening to the social media world.
