The Voice fans are fuming after KFC cook from Middleton is rejected

It was a decision that didn't go down well with fans of The Voice.

Babalola Ehidiamen from Middleton put everything he had into a performance of Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come but it wasn't enough to get a chair turn from the coaches on the ITV singing show.

KFC cook Babalola may not have driven Meghan Trainor, Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am to push their buzzers at the audition stage, but viewers were impressed.

"Oh my gosh, he was incredible," said one viewer.

"Um, why did he not get a turn?" asked another on Twitter.

"Go on Lad from Midd on #TheVoice can't believe they didn't turn.  Middleton nar nar nar," commented another.

"What?? Why didn’t anyone turn for him?" asked another.

Babalola, who lives with his girlfriend and their young son, has been a fan of The Voice for many years and felt that it was time to shine.

"I just want to make my son proud," he said.

After he left the stage the coaches continued talking about the talented 25-year-old.

"He's got something there," said Olly

"He had some range."

But Sir Tom commented: "It didn't sound like a natural voice to me."

And he added: "Something not quite there."

And will.i.am likened him to "spaghetti with Ketchup not with tomato sauce."

Babalola is determined to make it following the rejection.

"I'll carry on working. I don't give up," he said.
