Ever wondered how much The Voice Australia coaches get paid to judge the musical talent of Australia? Welp, we’ve just got the answers!
Daily Mail Australia reported that Richard Marx and Mel C each secured deals “north of $1 million” to join the show.
“Richard wasn’t going to uproot himself from the US unless it made sense financially,” one ‘well-placed insider’ revealed.
“He’s a bona fide rock legend – Seven knew they had to pay to play.”
Apparently Sporty Spice was on a similar salary, with the source noting: “She wasn’t flying halfway across the world for less than a million. She brings global star power and that comes with a price tag.”
As for returning fave Kate Miller-Heidke, apparently she’s earning roughly half of what her co-stars bagged, reportedly between $500,000 and $600,000.
It was previously reported that Miller-Heidke was earning “upwards of $500,000”.
“Kate proved herself last season and producers were keen to lock her in again,” the source explained.
“She’s seen as the grounded counterbalance to the big international names.”
And then there’s Irish singer Ronan Keating, who reportedly copped a salary close to his former colleagues Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes, who were each on between $750,000 and $1.2 million in 2024.
“Ronan is a known face to Aussie audiences and has proven chemistry with the format, so it would be surprising if he wasn’t on a deal close to the million mark,” the network source shared.

Speaking on the cast’s salaries in 2024, an insider told Daily Mail at the time: “Talent fees are the biggest expense on a show like this and bringing in stars who are widely known, but not necessarily relevant right now is a good way to cut costs.”
Daily Mail previously reported that ex-coach Rita Ora was offered up to $1 million to return to the show in 2021.
While Woman’s Day claimed Guy Sebastian was offered $750,000 per season when he joined the show in 2019. This supposedly later bumped up to a cool $1 million, but there were some pay disputes over the years.
In 2022, a source spilled that Sebastian found out he and fellow coach Jessica Mauboy were earning less than Keith Urban and Ora.

“All four coaches are currently on very different pay terms and all of them, particularly Guy, think it’s unfair and unsustainable,” the insider claimed.
“After being on the series for some time, he knows it survives on the dynamic and chemistry of the coaches. He’s quietly confident their demands will be met.”
