In many developed systems, equipment and supplies are not always fully utilized, while in other regions, access to even basic tools remains limited.
"There is equipment that is still functional and valuable, yet it is no longer used or is sent away, while other healthcare systems are struggling without access to essential tools," he says. "That imbalance is something we are trying to address by creating better connections between those who have resources and those who need them."
Through partnerships with hospitals, universities, and manufacturers, My Bridge International UK (MBI) facilitates the redistribution of equipment and resources to underserved regions. However, Tchamba emphasizes that access to equipment alone does not resolve the underlying issue. The ability to use, maintain, and integrate that equipment into existing systems requires trained professionals.
"Having the technology is one part of the solution, but without the right training, it cannot be used safely or effectively. Training ensures that healthcare professionals can operate equipment properly, maintain it, and deliver better outcomes for patients," he explains.

Professionals are able to gain exposure to advanced healthcare environments before applying that knowledge within their own communities. "A patient should be able to access the right expertise regardless of where they are located," Tchamba says. "Through the platform, it becomes possible to connect with specialists globally and receive guidance that may not be available locally."
