The vile website where Scots sex workers are being reviewed online

A website where men 'review' Scotland's sex workers has been exposed.

The disturbing site, named PunterNet, refers to itself as 'the UK's oldest escort directory and review site', having been running for 20 years.

Offering 'reviews' from every city in Scotland and the rest of the UK, the website also lists local escorts working in the area.

Reviews in Scotland offer a glimpse inside the country's sex work scene, from brothels hidden in plain sight to women working from city centre hotels.

The website makes for uncomfortable reading and was first exposed by our sister title the Liverpool Echo .

There are 310 reviews of workers in Edinburgh dating back to February 2000, each with a reference number and name of the escort.

In Glasgow, 199 reviews exist for sex workers, meanwhile escorts in Aberdeen, Stirling and Dundee have also been listed.

Men logging onto the site describe their encounters with sex workers in graphic detail, listing duration of their visit, amount paid, the date they visited and whether they would 'recommend' a woman to other punters.

The 'premises', and 'the lady' are also reviewed before 'the story' of the encounter is given.

While many of the men write highly of their encounters - talking about beauty, body, and how at ease the women made them feel - others are unpleasant and vile.

Paying £120 and staying for an hour, one reviewer in Dundee said he wouldn't recommend the worker he visited. He wrote: "It was the lady in the photographs but she has put on a little weight or they have been photoshopped.

"Overall no spark, no evident enjoyment on her part, all very mechanical.

"Top floor tenement flat in a reasonable area of town."

In Glasgow many of the reviewers are positive about their experiences with the women, with some brothels and women appearing a number of times over the years.

However, the most recent review is from a man who said the experience was "frankly horrible" after paying £60 for 30 minutes.

He wrote: "Avoid at all costs, guys. There's nothing worse than leaving after an appointment feeling completely ripped off and miserable."
