The Vikings’ radio team had the most heartbreaking call of the game-ending missed field goal

The Minnesota Vikings lost a devastating football game on Sunday after Greg Joseph missed a 37-yard field goal wide to the right.

If you were listening to the Vikings radio call, however, you’d have first thought Minnesota won their game against the Arizona Cardinals. In an incredibly heartbreaking few seconds, the Minnesota radio crew went from jubilation at what they thought was a game-winning field goal to disbelief at the miss.

I can kind of see why the radio crew here thought the ball was going to sneak in past the goal post, but in the end Joseph’s kick hooked right as the Vikings’ hopes of a victory fell flat.

Talk about a gut-wrenching end to a game. And if you were solely listening on the radio and not watching as Joseph’s kick went wide right? You probably experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in the span of a few seconds.

Just brutal.
