The View Glasgow: How to get tickets to 2022 O2 Academy shows

Iconic Scottish indie rock band The View have announced two shows in Glasgow later this year, and fans have rushed to buy tickets.

The group, famous for albums such as their debut Hats Off to the Buskers, Cheeky for a Reason, and Ropewalk will be playing at the O2 Academy on 16 December and 17 December.

They initially announced a single date on the 16 December, but after it quickly sold out, they revealed a second show the following day.

On the first night, the Dundee band will be supported by Shambolics and The Roly Mo, while Rianne Downey and Slix will be the support acts for the second date.

It has been 15 years since Hats Off to the Buskers was released, so fans can expect the group to play plenty of hits from the album, such as Wasted Little DJs, Same Jeans, and Superstar Tradesman.

Taking to Twitter, the band wrote: "Due to demand we are announcing a second @o2academygla Glasgow date on 17th December joined by @riannedowney_ and @SlixUk Thank you to all our fans for this incredible response. We feel the love!"

O2 ticket presale began on 8 June, while general sale started on 10 June at 9am.

Since the first show sold out almost immediately, fans of the group will want to jump on tickets as soon as possible if they want to see them live in Glasgow this December.

Tickets for the 17 December show can be purchased from Ticketmaster here.

Prices for tickets are £32.20.
