The view from Dudley’s delightful big wheel

I don’t know if Homa Khaleeli (Can a big wheel turn Dudley around?, G2, 17 March) has ever been to Dudley, but I can suggest a few things which can be seen from the Eye other than “derelict offices and factories”.

There is the Norman castle, which Cromwell knocked about in the civil war, along with the zoo in the castle grounds, the Black Country Living Museum and the vast canal network. And there are views of the Clent and Rowley hills, with the Malvern and Clee hills also visible – not to mention the rolling Worcestershire and Staffordshire countryside just a few miles away.

Certainly Black Country people like the wheel and are queuing up for a ride.
