A drug dealer who police caught trying to hide a large quantity of cocaine in an Easter Egg box was sent to prison yesterday.
Jack Rowlands, 29, had his Oak Road home in Partington raided on February 8, 2019 as part of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Challenge.
When police entered the property they found Rowlands, who appeared "very nervous" and was "attempting to hide an Easter Egg box under the bedcovers".
After looking in the box they found a large amount of cocaine alongside a list of debtors.
He was arrested at the scene and taken to custody for interview.
Yesterday, Rowlands was sentenced at Minshull Crown Court for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, and sentenced to two years and nine months in prison.
GMP said: "On Friday 8th February 2019 GMP Officers from Operation Challenger executed a warrant on Oak Road, Partington.
"Upon entering the address Officers made their way to the first floor master bedroom where they discovered a very nervous Jack Stanley Rowlands attempting to hide an Easter Egg box under the bedcovers.
"A search of the box revealed a large amount of cocaine together with a debtors list.
"Rowlands was arrested at the scene and conveyed to Custody for interview.
"On Wednesday 4th March 2020 in the Crown Court at Manchester Minshull Street, Jack Rowlands was sentenced to 2 years 9 months imprisonment for Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – Cocaine."
