The very latest coronavirus infection rates in every borough in Greater Manchester

The coronavirus infection rate is going down in Oldham - but continues to rise in Manchester.

The latest data shows that Oldham has gone into a downward trend and now has a coronavirus infection rate of 83.1.

Manchester has continued to show an increase in cases and has an infection rate of 47.6, just short of the 50 which would place it on red alert on the government watchlist.

A further 154 cases were announced today across Greater Manchester, which is the highest daily increase for the last three days.

The data takes into account the seven days up to Saturday, August 15 as it takes three days for the cases to be reported.

In the week up to August 15 there were 1,001 cases across Greater Manchester - slightly less than the previous week, when there 1,004 cases.
