The Vengaboys set to headline Stereofunk 2022 at Strathclyde Country Park

Nineties cult favourites, The Vengaboys, will headline Lanarkshire's hugely popular Stereofunk festival when it returns next year.

And you can bet your bottom dollar the Dutch Eurodance group will bring their 90s hits 'Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom,' 'We Like to Party', and 'We Are Going to Ibiza' to Strathclyde Country Park in Motherwell on Saturday, April 30 next year.

Over 60 DJs and live acts - including DJ Sammy, Capella, JX, Rui Da Silva, Ultra Sonic, Flip and Fill, Ultrabeat, Zander Nation and Clyde 1 DJ George Bowie - will play across four arenas next April in a one day spectacular running from 12pm to 10.30pm.

The gig had been due to take place on May 2 this year but COVID restrictions saw organisers push it back to the April bank holiday weekend in 2022.

People who previously purchased a ticket for this year's event can keep hold of it for the new date.

In a Facebook post organisers said: "Tickets are now back on sale.

"Massive thanks to everyone who's held on to their tickets for Stereofunk Festival 2022. We appreciate your support.

"We've frozen the ticket prices for the time being but inevitably these will have to rise so grab a ticket at the cheaper price while you can!

"Go get 'em!"

Stereofunk is a unique boutique music festival which has firmly established itself in the Scottish clubbing calendar as ‘The First Festival Of The Summer'.

The one day event is described as "a very special, intimate festival vibe that is second to none." It showcases the talents of Scotland’s best djs and bands as well as a sprinkling of established international artists.

Tickets are now on sale.
