The Vale pub temporarily closed after 3 employees test positive for Covid-19

A Nottinghamshire pub has had to temporarily close after three members of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

The Vale pub, off Mansfield Road in Woodthorpe, has closed to customers while the staff self-isolate.

A spokesperson for the Vale said: “We are working closely with the local authority and Public Health England after three members of our team recently tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently in a period of self-isolation.

"The safety and welfare of our customers and our team has been our priority since reopening and we have a number of social distancing measures in place as well as rigorous hygiene and cleanliness routines.

"We also have full NHS Test and Trace data available at the pub and hope to be back open again soon.”

Pub chain company Greene King is the landlord for The Vale.

A Greene King spokesperson added: “We’re in regular contact with our tenants at the Vale in Woodthorpe to support them at this difficult time.

"We’re confident that they have been following all the government regulations around making their pub as Covid-secure as possible.”
