The unwanted Premier League record held by Chelsea's Andreas Christensen under Maurizio Sarri

While Chelsea's fourth place finish and Europa League final spot indicate a positive season at Stamford Bridge, many fans around west London may disagree.

Many fans of the Blues have been left underwhelmed by the performances put in by Maurizio Sarri's side this term, with many claiming that more opportunities should be handed out to Chelsea's young stars.

One player who has been a victim of this complaint is Andreas Christensen.

The defender is regarded as one of the hottest defensive prospects in Europe, but has found first team opportunities somewhat limited this term.

The Sportsman have carried out research into how clubs in the Premier League used academy graduates during the 2018/19 season, and Christensen has taken a somewhat unwanted title.

The defender tops the list of times an academy graduates has been an unused substitute in the Premier League this term.

The alternative table that has West Ham and Palace ahead of Liverpool & champions Man City

I'm sure the placing will only add to Christensen's frustrations at Stamford Bridge, with the Danish international remaining an unused substitute on more occasions than the likes of Everton's Tom Davies, Tottenham's Kyle Walker-Peters and man City's Phil Foden.

The statistic that puts Arsenal's Alex Iwobi above rivals from Spurs, Liverpool and Man United
