I know it’s the offseason, but if you were keeping tabs on Washington Football Twitter on Wednesday, then you were in for quite a treat. An asinine suggestion brought on a disagreement and argument between several notable beat reporters, all stemming from the thought that Washington might part ways with a player like Chase Young in a trade for Matthew Stafford.
As is usually the case when it comes to arguing on Twitter, nothing much was settled, and no winner was declared. However, it got us thinking about the real question at hand: Who is on Washington’s No-Trade List?
Depending on the player that they’re trading for, that answer will change, but for the sake of the argument, we are going to keep someone like Deshaun Watson off the board — there’s almost nobody you wouldn’t involve in a trade for him. Bur for someone like Stafford, or Matt Ryan? Is there a handful of guys that Washington would for sure protect? Here’s our list of guys that are off-limits in a trade of such caliber.
