The unlikely Arsenal hero who played a key role in Alexandre Lacazette's goal vs Wolves

Former Arsenal defender Ashley Cole has identified the 'leadership' shown by Shkodran Mustafi prior to Alexandre Lacazette's goal against Wolves.

The Gunners took the lead in the first half via Bukayo Saka but encountered a hard-fought second half until Lacazette came off the bench to seal the points.

Joe Willock's assist and Lacazette's fine finish have earned praise following the performance but Cole has pinpointed Mustafi's role in the effort.

Analysing the goal as part of his punditry duties, he believes it was evidence that Mustafi has the leadership that many have stated he lacks.

"With the second goal, one thing I like about this is Mustafi showing that leadership quality that has been questioned at times. He's cool, he's won the header," he told Sky Sports.

"Then it's Willock with the ball, it's a great cut back and then Lacazette, what he does best, is gets in front of the defender and it's a cool finish.

"I think he needed that as well, his first goal away from home [for a while] and it's a great finish."
