The United States has bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, President Donald Trump announced in a post shared to his social platform Truth Social.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump said American forces have since moved “outside of Iranian air space” after a “full payload of bombs” was dropped on the “primary site” of Fordow, a heavily fortified nuclear bunker facility built underground inside Iran.

“All planes are safely on their way home,” the president wrote.
“There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”.
Per the ABC, the president is expected to make an address regarding the attack later today.
It comes after days of speculation regarding Trump’s plans to directly join the Israel-Iran conflict, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying earlier this week that America’s involvement would be decided “within the next two weeks”.
“He is a peacemaker-in-chief. He is the peace-through-strength president,” Leavitt said at the time.
“But believe me, the president is unafraid to use strength if necessary.”
In the wake of Trump’s announcement, a slew of US politicians came forward to both condemn and defend the move, with House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries writing on X that the strikes mean “the risk of war has now dramatically increased”.
Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, described the attack as “grossly unconstitutional”, while prominent Republican Lindsey Graham said the president made “the right call”.
It comes amid the broader conflict between Israel and Iran that has seen the two countries engaged in more than a week of aerial combat, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides.

Israel launched the attacks on Iran on June 13, saying it wanted to remove any chance of Tehran developing nuclear weapons, a concern which was reiterated by Trump.
Amid the conflict, Foreign Minister Penny Wong this week announced the suspension of Australia’s embassy operations in Tehran, and urged Aussies to leave the country due to “the deteriorating security environment in Iran”.
“We urge Australians who are able to leave Iran to do so now, if it is safe,” Wong said.
“Those who are unable to, or do not wish to leave, are advised to shelter in place.”
