The unexpected thing Leeds United legend Chris Kamara got up to during football's coronavirus suspension

Leeds United legend Chris Kamara got up to something rather unexpected in the absence of weekend football.

Instead of having a few days off from our TV screens, Kammy, 62, was a studio guest for the Sky Sports coverage of Castleford and St Helens.

The former footballer turned TV favourite was working at the rugby league match because all top level football is currently suspended until April 3, at the earliest, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Of course, Kamara, who also played for Bradford City and Sheffield United, would normally be heading up weekend football coverage.

The star is a massive fan of Wakefield Trinity though and despite surprising viewers with his appearance Kammy more than held his own during his spell on the rugby league coverage.

The total number of people in the UK to test positive for coronavirus has risen by 171 in a day to a total of 1,543, according to the latest Department of Health figures.
