From Downing to Diouf: The Championship players Nottingham Forest could sign for free this summer

Plenty of business is expected to occur during the summer transfer window and clubs in the Championship will be determined to bolster their squads with new additions when the market opens for business.

Nottingham Forest do not yet know what division they will be plying their trade in come the 2020/21 campaign, with Sabri Lamouchi's men aiming for promotion to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen how significantly the coronavirus outbreak will affect the transfer market in general but, given the financial implications, it’s highly likely that many clubs will be looking for a bargain.

And the Reds are sure to be looking to bring in some new faces, whether they go up or not.
