The ultimate home that Scousers dream of - and it's not a mansion

From browsing through magazines full of beautiful interiors to watching endless programmes, we are all dreaming of our perfect home.

Arlo & Jacob have conducted a survey asking Scousers what their dream home would look like both from the outside and in, including preferences on the features, colour schemes and style of key rooms in the home.

From luxury dressing rooms to an outhouse, the results have been illustrated to show Liverpool’s ultimate dream home.

Does this look like your ideal kitchen? (Arlo & Jacob)

When it comes to the type of home Scousers desire the most, the results show that nearly 35% would like a detached home with the majority opting for a three-bedroom house.

The kitchen

Liverpudlians want their dream kitchen to have patio doors that open out onto the garden - over 55% answered with this preference and 44% would like a kitchen island to socialise around.

The lounge

Entertainment comes out as a top priority when it comes to a dream lounge, with just over half opting for a smart TV in their dream home.

However, an open fireplace and folding doors out onto a big garden are also of importance, showing that Scousers appreciate mixing modern with traditional aspects in their dream home.

The bedroom

Walk-in-wardrobes are a necessity (Arlo & Jacob)

An en-suite is dreamed of by many, with a walk-in wardrobe and balcony closely following.

Colour-wise, they have stuck with a very modern, clean and fresh look, with nearly a quarter opting for white colours throughout the bedroom.

The garden

The perfect garden for this summer weather (Arlo & Jacob)

The dream garden results show that we dream of having a little oasis to sit out in the summertime.

Nearly 40% would like to have some sort of water feature to admire in their garden, as well as 30% dreaming of owning a swimming pool.

But as lavish and dreamy the chosen features are for a dream home, the majority of people are only willing to pay a maximum of £400,000 for it.
