The ultimate guide to baggage limits by destination and airline

The amount of luggage you can carry on board a long-haul flight varies dramatically from one airline to another, and even between destinations on the same carrier.

This guide to allowances for key locations is for passengers beginning their journey in the UK and buying the cheapest economy tickets.

The weights are expressed in kilograms.

A combination of direct services and common indirect routings has been chosen.

The figures do not take into account any charges for splitting the weight limit between more than one or two cases, as specified by the airline.

Travellers who pay more for their flights, and/or belong to the airline’s frequent-flyer programme, may qualify for higher limits.

The order for each destination is in descending area of weight; when two airlines have the same limit, it is alphabetical order
