Why attend
This event is for anyone interested in studying in the UK, whether it be for an English course, pathway, undergraduate, postgraduate or research programme. Admission to this event is free, and it is recommended that you pre-register online to save queuing time on the day.
Over 75 UK universities will be in attendance at this fair, including 30 top 30 universities from the Times Higher Education and The Guardian university rankings.
In addition to the fair, UK university representatives will be delivering seminars on Business, Marketing, Law, Finance and Engineering. There will also be a range of seminars on IELTS Techniques and how to write a good personal statement. The Hands On counselling team and UK alumni will be available on the day to speak to prospective students about their experiences of studying in the UK.
Finally, there will be a three part mock IELTS test from 2pm, which will be held in partnership with British Council IELTS. These tests are free of charge and students are once again encouraged to pre-register, however, spaces are very limited and will be available on a first come first served basis on the day.
How to prepare
Prospective students and parents should think about the universities they would like to visit on the day and it would also be useful prepare some questions to ask the visiting UK university representatives, such as information regarding entry requirements, tuition fees, living costs, and other important factors which will help to facilitate the decision making process on where to apply.
Students who want to apply on the day, or who want to receive advice on their eligibility for each course, should also consider bringing along the following items:
• Statement of Purpose (SoP) / Personal Statement
• Academic Transcripts
• CV/Resume
• IELTS certificate (if taken within the last two years)
• Two reference letters (at least one academic)
However, it is not necessary to have any or all of the documents listed above to attend the event
