The UK's first Pokémon Center has opened in London - and it's filled with Pikachus in bowler hats

The UK's first official Pokémon shop has opened in the capital.

The pop-up shop, located in Westfield shopping centre, is the British equivalent of the franchise's Japanese stores and has opened to coincide with the new Pokémon game set in a Britain-inspired region.

The store offers fans the chance to get their hands on some of the firm's usual staples - such as Eeveelution plushies and trading cards - but there is also plenty of apparel and gifts you will only find in London.

These include soft toys, pins and water bottles all with a Pikachu in a suit and bowler hat holding a Psyduck umbrella - what could be more British?

To tie in with the new Switch game launch there is also plenty of merchandise with the new 'starter' Pokémon on and the entire second floor of the shop is dedicated to playing the game, with demo consoles set up from wall to wall.

Over the weekend, the shop has experienced heavy queues due to popularity so it is best to check Westfield's social media if you are thinking of making the trip.

The store won't be around for long. Fans have until November 15 (the day of the Sword and Shield release) to visit.
