The two Wales internationals and six other players definitely leaving the Ospreys this summer

The Ospreys have confirmed that eight players will be leaving the region this summer.

Wales international Aled Davies has already nailed down his future with a move to English champions Saracens on a three-year deal.

No.8 Dan Baker, who has three caps to his name, is also heading out of the region that he represented 94 times.

His recent years have been decimated by a serious knee injury but a move to the French second division has been heavily-mooted, though not yet finalised.

Also departing is flanker Will Jones. The 21-year-old has been spoken of very highly in the past and captained his country and under-20 level.

Former Wales under-20s and Sevens star Tom Williams is also leaving.

Moldovan prop Gheorghe Gajion leaves the region after two years and 13 appearances, joining Aurillac in the French PRO D2.

Namibia international Lesley Klim heads through the exit after struggling to make an impact at the region, with injuries hampering his chances.

Finalising the departures are Darryl Marfo and Ben Glynn.

“Everyone at the Ospreys would like to thank all of those who are leaving at the end of the season and wish them all the best in the future," said Ospreys managing director Andrew Millward.

“This has been an extraordinary season in many ways and all of us at the Ospreys would like to thank them for their understanding, diligence and patience especially during the lockdown.

“This is always a difficult time of the season but it is also the time to put on record and acknowledge the contribution people have made to the Ospreys.

“The Ospreys say ‘thank you’ and wish you all the best in the future.”
