The two players most likely to join Spurs this summer - and Everton fans will not be impressed

Spurs can start adding to their squad ahead of the 2019/20 season with the transfer window now open for business.

Mauricio Pochettino has had to make do with limited numbers recently due to injuries and it's imperative that a few fresh faces arrive before the deadline in August.

Having failed to sign a single player since Lucas Moura's move back in January 2018, everyone connected with the club will be hoping that the manager and Daniel Levy can get some deals over the line in the coming months.

However, it's extremely unlikely that anyone will join in the next couple of weeks with all eyes currently on the Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday, June 1.

Ryan Sessegnon and Andre Gomes have been linked with moves to N17 over the past few weeks, with Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo and Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt hitting the headlines in Europe regarding a transfer to Spurs.

According to Sky Bet, Spurs are now odds-on to bring Sessegnon and Gomes to the club ahead of next season.

The former is 1/5 to join from Fulham following previous talk of a move across the capital, with the latter 10/11 to join from Barcelona.

Gomes spent last season on loan with Everton and he made a huge impression during his time on Merseyside.

The Toffees are extremely keen to tie the Portuguese international down to a long-term contract but the fact they didn't get an option of a permanent move inserted into the loan deal means that other clubs can now take advantage of the situation.

Reports in Spain suggest that Spurs are now favourites for his signature and the bookmakers also think likewise.

Jack Grealish, who almost joined the club last summer, is 2/1 to sign from Aston Villa with Ivan Perisic, Youri Tielemans and Gareth Bale at 3/1, 7/2 and 5/1 respectively.
