After the Ospreys beat the Scarlets last weekend, securing a spot in next season's Champions Cup, a wonderful moment occurred.
Wales and British and Irish Lions star George North went over to meet some young fans who had hung around and they soon got more than they bargained for.
After the final game of a long season, the 27-year-old did more than just throw out a few high fives, he made two young boys' day by whipping off his size 13s, signing then and handing them to Cian Charles and Griff Joseph.
A video of the exchange circulated on social media and then the boys' school, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Pontardawe, tweeted a picture of the two showing off the boots in assembly.
The pair were at the game with Trebanos under-7s, who played on the pitch during half time at the Liberty Stadium.
It was the first time six-year-old Griff (on the right in the picture above) had seen a game live and he left with a moment he'll never forget.
"He's absolutely thrilled. He's kept the boot and it's in a little plastic box next to his bed, he's got the programme and we've cut a picture out of George North from the game and that's in there as well," said mum Laura.
"He won't even take the mud off it. He's got the muddy boot in the box. It's on the wardrobe facing his bed so he can see it and he's got his rugby trophies by it.
"He just wondered if George North would come and sign his programme or tickets, so when he did that he (Griff) was absolutely gobsmacked."
It was not the first time Cian, who is also keeping the boot in his bedroom, had seen North live in action but just a short time ago, he professed to his mother, Tina, that he'd like to emulate the 83-cap winger when he grows up.
"He's my son's hero. He's (Cian) seen him play quite a few times for Wales, he's seen him in training," said Tina.
"Because it was the last game of the season, we were hoping to just get a photo or an autograph.
"So when George North did come over, he was just blown away. I still don't think he can believe it."
She added: "A few weeks ago I asked him what he wanted to be when he was older and his initial response was: 'I don't know'.
"Then about 20 minutes later, he said: 'I'm going to be the future George North'.
"That's how much he loves him. I genuinely couldn't believe it, my son absolutely idolises him."
Players are not obligated to stop and interact with fans but many are happy to do so.
Anybody who doesn't appreciate the impact those at the top of the game can have on the next generation can be left in no further doubt.
"He was an absolute gentleman. What an absolute gentle giant," added Laura.
"He was so nice. Even just high fiving all the boys to start with - if he had just done that it would have been enough."
