The two former Man United players who Crystal Palace star has named among the best he has faced

Jeffrey Schlupp has singled out Wayne Rooney as a "special player" after being asked who was the best Manchester United player he has faced during his time at Crystal Palace.

The Palace star took part in a live Q&A with supporters via the Eagles' Instagram account yesterday, with Schlupp answering questions about his injury, the best player he has played alongside and the best opponents he has faced.

Schlupp named former Chelsea star Eden Hazard as the best player he has faced in the Premier League, with the Palace star describing the Belgian as a special player.

But he also described another player from the Premier League in similar terms, with Schlupp full of praise for Wayne Rooney.

Who's played the most Premier League minutes?

After being asked who was the best Manchester United player he has played against, he said: "[Wayne] Rooney.

"[Angel] Di Maria was a good player when he was here, but I would have to go with Rooney, he was a special player as well.

Meanwhile, Schlupp named former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha as the best player he has played alongside at Palace, with the Ivory Coast international the Eagles' talisman in recent seasons.

"Definitely Wilf," he said in response to the question of who the best player is he has played with in south London.

"He is a special talent."
