The two former Arsenal players who could solve Mikel Arteta's biggest problem

Arsenal continue to struggle this season with Mikel Arteta now under real pressure to turn things around.

The Gunners are in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle having picked up just 14 points from as many games, and it's not about to get any easier with a date with London rivals Chelsea on Boxing Day.

One particular area Arsenal have struggled with is creating and scoring goals, managing just 12 goals in their 14 Premier League games and only two in their last four league outings, while they have conceded 18 to date.

That's despite managing to tie down star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new contract ahead of this season, the Gabon international only scoring five so far this term.

But perhaps the issue lies in creativity and not creating enough chances for the frontmen, and whether that is the case or not, more creativity certainly wouldn't go amiss for the Gunners.

And that makes it all the more painful for Arsenal fans to see two former players prominently feature in the list of the top 20 most creative players across the top five leagues.

FBRef have put together the top 20 which is based on the most goal and shot creation per 90 minutes, and both Cesc Fabregas and Aaron Ramsey feature in that list.

Fabregas is 13th with 5.57 chance-creating actions per 90 minutes, while Ramsey is in 20th with 5.13.

Ramsey was allowed to leave on a free last year, going on to join Juventus, while Fabregas joined Barcelona in 2011, going on to join Chelsea, and he is now at Monaco.

Elsewhere in the top 20, Neymar Jr leads the way, while Lionel Messi, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Jack Grealish and Christopher Nkunku make up the top five with Kevin De Bruyne, Ross Barkley and Bruno Fernandes also featuring in the top 10.
