Meet Theia and Polly – two dogs saved from a ‘desperate situation’ just to be overlooked by all potential owners.
The 10-year-old sisters are currently staying at Joey’s Legacy Boxer Rescue in Liverpool – but have received little interest.
A spokesperson said: “I can't understand why there's so little interest in these extremely sweet older ladies? Is it because they're old? Not as pretty as pure breeds?"
“The senior dogs were took in as an emergency situation as previously they were "in a desperate situation and needed urgent help’."
Although Theia and Polly do not need to be rehomed together, they each seek loving owners as they have not received the best care in recent years.
Theia has been described as a “beautiful crossbreed” between a Boxer and a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
She would be able to live with another dog and children over the age of 15. However, she cannot live with cats.
Similarly, Polly has been described as a “super sweet and loving” girl who can live with other dogs but not cats.
She is a mix breed between a Boxer and Rhodesian Ridgeback and ideally is looking to be fostered locally in Liverpool of within the North West area.
Their brother, Apollo, recently found a new place to call home but the girls remain in kennels waiting to start their new lives.
