The two Barnsley players who will miss Nottingham Forest clash through injury

Barnsley have received an injury boost ahead of the Championship game against Nottingham Forest tonight (Wednesday).

Forest travel to Oakwell looking to pick up just their second win of the season after the 1-1 draw with Millwall at the weekend.

The game against the Lions was Steve Cooper’s first match in charge of the club after he replaced Chris Hughton at the City Ground.

Like Forest, Barnsley have had a disappointing start to the season, winning one, drawing five and losing three of their opening nine league games.

The results leave them in 20th position in the table.

Ahead of the game at Oakwell, Tykes manager Markus Schopp has provided the latest injury update, revealing that his side will be without just two players for the match.

“I’m glad that this week we had almost all the players back in training. Except for Carlton (Morris) and Mads (Andersen), all players are available and this is something we haven’t had all season, so this is a good thing.

“It’s a situation where we can start competing in certain positions and for a couple of young lads, it’s important that there’s pressure.”

Striker Morris is out with a knee injury after playing the opening two games of the season while Danish defender Andersen, who played every league game last season will be missing with a knee injury he suffered during pre-season.

Forest, meanwhile, could be without up to five players either due to injury or a lack of match fitness.

Striker Lewis Grabban has been described as "doubtful" for the game after leaving the field in the first half of the Championship clash against Millwall.
