The tweet that shows Nottingham Forest's Rafa Mir already feels like a Red

Rafa Mir is clearly enjoying his start to life at Nottingham Forest if his social media account is anything to go by.

The Spanish Under-21 international came off the bench in Saturday’s 3-0 demolition of Birmingham at the City Ground and almost opened his account for the club with an audacious overhead kick in the second half.

By that point, Sabri Lamouchi’s Forest were already 3-0 up and coasting courtesy of goals from Joe Lolley, Lewis Grabban and Michael Dawson.

Mir, who agreed a season-long loan deal at Forest from Premier League side Wolves just before the transfer window closed, said his teammates are focused on building on that fine win ahead of two tough away games at Charlton and Fulham.

“Great game and a great victory with a clean sheet,” he wrote on Twitter.

“We will continue working hard and preparing for the next games this week! Come on you Reds!!”

Mir will hope to make his fourth league appearance for the Reds at Charlton on Wednesday when the Reds travel to take on the newly-promoted Addicks, before heading back to the capital on Saturday for what looks to be a tough visit to Fulham’s Craven Cottage.
