The name Dani Olmo has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur repeatedly in recent weeks but is there any truth behind the speculation?
The 21-year-old Spanish international attacking midfielder has not been far from the headlines since his impressive performances for his country at the European U21 Championships in Italy.
Olmo, who plays for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, has been linked with Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and most frequently in recent weeks Spurs.
Reports in Spain claim that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing in the player and that the north London club are readying a £22m move for him.
However, as we have previously reported, football.london understands that Olmo is not a player that Spurs are currently looking to sign.
Having secured the club record £63m signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon last week, as well as the £9m move for Leeds United's Jack Clarke, Tottenham's main targets lie elsewhere this window.
Spurs are hoping to come to an agreement with Real Betis over their Argentinean midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, now he has returned from the Copa America.
Tottenham also hold interest in signing 22-year-old Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos, Olmo's national team-mate as Spain won the U21 European Championships, but would prefer any potential loan move to come with a permanent option to sign the player next summer.
Tottenham are also expected to move for Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon in the final month of the transfer window, while plans are also being put in place to deal with the potential departures of Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Kieran Trippier.
Trippier has returned to pre-season training already and Alderweireld and Eriksen are expected to join him this week.
