The truth behind Premier League club link to Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash

Premier League Burnley are said to have not made contact with Nottingham Forest over Matty Cash.

The future of the 22-year-old is in the spotlight, following the Reds' failure to win promotion to the top flight.

The full-back is expected to leave the City Ground this summer - but it is understood Burnley have so far not made an approach for him, amid speculation he is a target of the Turf Moor club.

LancsLive report "Burnley have not made contact with Nottingham Forest over the availability of Matty Cash".

"LancsLive can reveal that Burnley have not made an approach for the player," the report adds.

Cash, who enjoyed an impressive season for the Reds in the Championship and is under contract at the City Ground until 2023, has also been linked with Sheffield United, with the Blades reportedly tabling a £10m bid, Southampton and West Ham - and he was also on the radar of Italian giants AC Milan.
