The Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aaron Wan-Bissaka verdict that will stun Liverpool fans

Aaron Wan-Bissaka may be a Manchester United player now, but the Crystal Palace fans will still hold a certain amount of affection for him.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Selhurst Park, and after a season-and-a-half in the first team, earned a big money move to Old Trafford this summer.

United saw enough potential in the right-back to shell out £50million for Wan-Bissaka to help solve their defensive problems.

Wan-Bissaka had a reasonable first game in the red of United on Sunday, keeping a clean sheet in the 4-0 hammering of Chelsea, but being caught out of position o a number of occasions.

The right-back is yet to receive a call-up to the senior England squad, with the likes of Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold previously ahead of him in the pecking order.

But there is a growing feeling started by the Crystal Palace fans, that Wan-Bissaka  is on the verge of England honours.

And it is a feeling that is supported by former Manchester United man Paul Parker, who thinks Wan-Bissaka is better than Alexander-Arnold.

Speaking on the WeAreTheBusbyBoys  podcast, Parker said: "I’ve said it many times, I watched him often last year, I just like what he does.

"People talk about the lad at Liverpool [Alexander-Arnold] but he can’t defend like Wan-Bissaka, whose defending and positioning is very good. He wants to defend, he loves it.

"And every time he won a tackle [in United's 4-0 win over Chelsea] there was no doubt he won it cleanly. You would think he had been there years.

"I’m judging him as a defender. He is the best right-back in the Premier League."
