Alan Hutton and Michael Stewart have backed Celtic to take up Kelechi Iheanacho's year option, following an impressive end to the season.
Despite arriving after the deadline last year, as well as a number of injuries, the 29-year-old has been a reliable goalscorer for Celtic when available, scoring nine goals in 24 appearances.
"I would [sign him]. I got asked this question at the game last weekend, and I would, personally," said Hutton on Premier Sports' Scottish Football Social Club.
"He's come into the club, having not played a lot of football, and has had certain injuries. You could tell that he wasn't right when he first came in.
"His technical ability was always there, though, and you could see that, and what he's capable of. He has impacted games and scored important goals off the bench. I feel that if you were to give him another deal, if it were financially right, then it would be a no-brainer.

"He's 29, it's not as if he's old. He's got plenty of football left in him. They won't have to manage his minutes moving forward if he gets through pre-season and his fitness is okay.
"Why would you not have someone of his ability?"
On Iheanacho's future, Stewart added, "It was definitive [his post-match message], he wants to stay. I just think that the deal is in place and the club has the option, so they can trigger it if they want.
"He's already there, the deal is already effectively done, and I just think that even if you're going to get him as an impact player, then the quality that he has is somebody that you would want to have in the squad."
