Former Arsenal defender Matt Upson believes there are already signs of Pep Guardiola's ways at his old club.
The serial-winning Spanish boss may not have taken over at the Emirates Stadium, but his assistant of three years in Mikel Arteta did.
And with Arteta's coaching education so heavily based upon Guardiola's ways, it is perhaps inevitable that the Gunners will attempt to adopt a similar style.
Upson spoke about that on Sky Sports' Football Show, and he said he can already see some of the hallmarks despite Arteta's reign remaining in its infancy.
"I can see it creeping in," he said. "One of the biggest dilemmas for Arteta having arrived at Arsenal is to assess how hard he can push the players.
"As a manager, you come in after a club like Manchester City under a manager like Pep Guardiola, it's easy to try to nail the players and push them hard like Guardiola does with Man City.
"But the group would not have been ready for that, so tapering that down and realising when he can push and back off probably has been the key in how well he has done.
"I really see them trying to adopt that out-of-possession attitude that Guardiola has and loves. When you lose the ball, you have to win it back, and when you can't win it, you drop into your position and you are disciplined.
"That's what has led to some really good draws. I think that discipline out of possession that Guardiola is soo good at installing - Arteta is starting to do that at Arsenal and it is really to their benefit."
Arteta takes on his former boss in Guardiola this evening when Arsenal head to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City (8.15pm).
