The Tottenham youngsters set to shine for Jose Mourinho in Bayern Munich clash

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho will give his fringe players the chance to impress in their closing Champions League group stage game with Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Serge Aurier have all been left at home for the dead rubber in Group B on Wednesday, where both teams have already qualified for the knockout stages.

A host of players who have yet to feature with any regularity will get the chance at the Allianz Arena and Mourinho has challenged them to make an impression.

"A player in competition is different to a player training, some of my boys didn't have the chance to play many minutes in these five matches since I arrived,” said Mourinho.

"We try to mix a little bit these factors. We need to play for Tottenham, that is our responsibility but at the same time there are other things.

Here, we look at the Tottenham youngsters who could shine at the Allianz Arena…

Already a full international, the Irishman impressed in pre-season and made his debut in the League Cup defeat at Colchester. A skilful and powerful forward who is excellent at winning and holding up the ball, Mourinho is said to have taken an immediate shine to the teenager.

The England Under-21 midfielder is a potential candidate to go on loan in January, but has an opportunity to show he can be another Scott McTominay. A steady passer who is a mix of Eric Dier and Harry Winks, he first broke through under Mauricio Pochettino.

The centre-half also impressed in pre-season and made his debut at Colchester in the League Cup. He is out of contract in the summer and, with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld facing uncertain futures, will be hoping to convince Mourinho that he can step up.

Kyle Walker-Peters (22)

Part of the furniture for three seasons now, Walker-Peters was never given a proper run under former boss Pochettino, but is hoping that will change with Mourinho. The attacking right-back would benefit from the freedom the Portuguese has afforded to Serge Aurier.
