The Tottenham players have a new way of preparing for a match ahead of Aston Villa clash

It looks like the Tottenham players have come up with a new and unique way of preparing for a match.

Spurs face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon - their first match after a first ever winter break in the English top flight.

Jose Mourinho's men only had a week-and-a-half off as a result of an FA Cup fourth round replay with Southampton last midweek. And the game against Villa will be the first in a hectic schedule.

It is an away game for Spurs, as they travel to Birmingham today for the clash at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

The squad have made their way to the Midlands today and will stay there overnight ahead of the 4.30pm kick-off on Sunday.

And it looks like they have a new way of preparing for a Premier League match, if Giovani Lo Celso's Instagram stories are anything to go by.

Tottenham players have been famed for playing card game Uno ahead of matches and there have been a number of videos on social media of them playing in the dressing room after training too.

Lo Celso has been a revelation for Tottenham in the last few weeks, having adjusted to life in the Premier League. He has a number of other Argentines to help him settle in - Erik Lamela, Paulo Gazzaniga and Juan Foyth - but Lo Celso's pre-match rituals involve games with Serge Aurier and Tanguy Ndombele.

And rather than playing Uno, they have been playing another retro game to prepare for the game against Villa - Ludo.

Ludo is a board game for upto four players, where participants have to get their counters all round the board and into the middle before another player chases them down.

The Tottenham trio have been playing the game online on an iPad on the journey from London to Birmingham.
