Redknapp slams Levy for holding Tottenham back
Jamie Redknapp has criticised Daniel Levy after Tottenham reversed their decision to furlough non-football staff.
Spurs initially announced that they would be using the government’s scheme to cover 80% of their non-playing staff’s wages, before performing a U-turn on Monday.
And ex-Tottenham midfielder Redknapp believes his former side do not “act like a big club” under Levy’s leadership.
"I just feel at times they don't act like a big club," he told Sky Sports. "Tottenham, I know full well, have good finances and plenty behind them, but it didn't sit well with me.
"I think Daniel is a really good businessman but at negotiations, he is very difficult at times. And that's why you see a lot of players wanting to leave.
"If they want to push on, Levy hasn't pressed the button and spent the money to push them to a new level."
Wright thinks Kane exit has become more likely
Ian Wright believes Tottenham’s reversal of their decision to furlough non-playing staff could ultimately push Harry Kane closer to the exit door.
Kane cast doubt on his Spurs future after declaring earlier this month that he would not stay with the club "for the sake of it"
And former Arsenal striker Wright thinks Tottenham’s U-turn could put the club in a weaker financial position and force them to make player sales.
"What about the fact that Tottenham, and the predicament that Tottenham find themselves in with a new stadium... I don't think that it is any coincidence that Harry Kane's being mentioned [about leaving], but do you think Tottenham can afford to do this?” he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
"Do you think they can afford to not have the furlough with the way that their money has been stopped? There is the stadium they have got to pay for.
"We are not talking about the stadium like West Ham have got, they [Spurs] have got a privately funded stadium that money has to be found for.
"Are Tottenham in the same position as a Liverpool, have they got that kind of money to not do that? Have they been forced into a situation where they need to see where someone can afford him [Kane]?
"They may have to sell someone like Harry Kane."
Spurs keep tabs on Onana
Tottenham and Chelsea are weighing up moves for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to the Daily Mirror.
PSG and Barcelona are also interested in the Cameroon international, who is thought to be available for £25million this summer.

Hugo Lloris’ future in north London is uncertain, with Spurs reportedly keen to secure a long-term replacement for the Frenchman.
However, Onana is thought to prefer a move to PSG, even if that means he initially serves as back-up to Keylor Navas.
And a return to Barcelona, where the goalkeeper spent five years as a teenager, would also be tempting for Onana, who described the club as “my home” in an interview with Canal+ Afrique.
