The Tottenham fixtures Moussa Sissoko will miss after being ruled out for at least three months

Tottenham are set to be without Moussa Sissoko for up to 20 matches after the club confirmed that he would be out of action for at least three months.

The midfielder suffered a knee injury in the Premier League clash against Southampton on New Year's Day at St. Mary's.

And Spurs confirmed that the French star had undergone surgery on the medial collateral ligament in his right knee on Tuesday.

The club say that they after a period of rehabilitation, they are aiming to have the 30-year-old back in training in April, but it is unlikely that Sissoko will return to action straight away.

Sissoko will definitely be missing the Champions League Round of 16 tie against RB Leipzig, with the second leg coming at the home of the Bundesliga side midway through March.

With that in mind, it is likely that he will not appear for the club until at least the end of April, with the North London derby against Arsenal coming on April 25 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Following that game against their rivals, there will only be three Premier League games remaining, with Sissoko aiming to be fit and selected for France's Euro 2020 squad in the summer.

Further fixtures will be added to the schedule if Spurs progress in either or both of the FA Cup and Champions League, with the replay against Middlesbrough set for next week.
