The January transfer window promises to be a rather exciting one as Premier League clubs look to give themselves a boost ahead of the final few months of the 2021/22 season.
While all eyes will be on St James' Park to see what Newcastle United do in the market with their millions following their recent takeover, a few clubs will be looking to strengthen following a change in management since the summer window.
Tottenham are one of those clubs, with Antonio Conte replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm at the start of November.
Already making his mark at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with results improving recently, the Italian will be looking to really stamp his mark on his Tottenham squad in the transfer market.
Daniel Levy did allow Jose Mourinho to strengthen shortly after his arrival at the club two years ago and supporters will be hoping the chairman does exactly the same for the new boss.
While of course everyone will be looking at what happens in terms of incomings next month, Spurs already have some business they ideally need to sort out before the turn of the year.
The Lilywhites currently have a number of players out of contract at the end of the current season and that means they will be able to speak to foreign clubs come January about a contract for the 2022/23 campaign.
Hugo Lloris falls into this category as he last penned fresh terms at the club back in December 2016 when he committed to a new five-and-a-half year deal.

Although the World Cup winner is set to turn 35 on Boxing Day, he has proved over the past few seasons that he still has much more to offer and that he can still be a major part of the Tottenham team over the coming years.
Maybe entering the final few years of his career if he was an outfield player, goalkeepers do tend to go on longer and it is not uncommon for them to play on until their late 30s or early 40s.
The problem Tottenham have come the summer if Lloris leaves for nothing is that it would cost them serious money to go out and buy a goalkeeper who is as good as the Frenchman.
Given his form over the past two seasons as he has delivered consistent performances week after week, it would be a no-brainer to keep him at the club as No.1 providing of course that he wants to remain in N17.
Conte has already taken quite the shine to the ex-Lyon man and it appears that he wants him to stick about beyond the end of the current season.
As reported earlier in the month, football.london understands that it is the Italian who has been speaking to the French international about the situation, wanting him to remain at the club beyond next summer.
Lloris has previously stated a wish to play his final years back in his homeland of France but Spurs are understood to be hopeful that the Conte effect will convince him to remain in the capital.
Given the real threat of potentially seeing Lloris open talks with foreign clubs in just over a fortnight, Levy, Fabio Paratici and Conte must do everything they can to get him to commit his future to Tottenham going forward rather than heading elsewhere for a new challenge.
As important as it is that Spurs do add to their squad in January with some fresh faces, it's also imperative that they also seal a deal for Lloris as they plot their plans for their next few seasons.
