The Tottenham and West Brom target who could hold the key to Bristol City striker's Fenerbahce move

Tottenham and West Brom target Vedat Muriqi could hold the key to Famara Diedhiou's move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey.

The Bristol City striker is reportedly on the radar of the Instanbul club as he enters the last year of his contract at Ashton Gate, and a move could depend on the future of Kosovo forward Muriqi.

The forward scored 17 goals for Fenerbahce this season and is being eyed up by several English clubs. Tottenham have reportedly already tabled a bid for Muriqi as they look for back up to Harry Kane and West Brom are considering him as the man to lead the line in their first season back in the Premier League.

And according to Turkish website Yenisafak, Muriqi's future will determine whether they continue their pursuit of Famara Diedhiou.

If Fenerbahce are able to keep hold of their talisman, it may be that they cool their interest in the Bristol City number nine and the Robins will have to look elsewhere if they wish to sell.

However, if the Turkish side do sell, which appears more likely at the moment, they will step up their interest as they attempt to replace his goals.

The report says that Diedhiou is at the top of their list if Muriqi does get sold and that they see him as the man to lead the line next season following three solid years at Ashton Gate.

The striker has reached double figures for goals in every season and this year won the player of the year award.

He is coming into the final year of his contract and while there have been on and off contract talks about a renewal, nothing concrete has been agreed.

If they aren't confident of him staying, Bristol City will most likely look to sell the player to avoid losing him on a free next year. They will look to recoup at least some of the £5.3 million they paid for him and Fenerbahce will most likely be able to offer cash that will recoup just that and offer up funds for reinforcements elsewhere.
